Tradeshow Strategies For Lawyers

1335451_stack_of_booksIn today’s economy, it seems as though there are more lawyers than there are dollars.  This can be frustrating.  And it can make it more difficult for the qualified lawyer to find business.  Fortunately, there are ways that you can attract attention and grow your business.  Consider attending tradeshows.

A Good Booth

Set up a booth that will attract the attention of trade show attendees.  Make sure that the colors are bright and pleasing.  Bring information to your booth to hand out.  Company literature and information will be particularly helpful to those individuals who are visual learners.  It will allow them to read and educate themselves on your products and services when the leave the booth.  In addition, make sure that your booth is ran by well-educated people who can speak about your products and services.  Those who stop by need to understand what you offer and why they should choose you.

Promotional Products

In addition, you may want to hand out promotional products.  These products are very popular at tradeshows.  They have been proven to be an effective form of advertising.  When you hand them out, you are providing your potential customer with a long-term tool that will always remind them of your business.  Invest in something they will use like a pen or a t-shirt.

Expand Your Trade Show Attendance

Furthermore, you may want to attend more shows than the one you have a booth at.  This will give you an opportunity to interact with potential businesses.  You can hand out your business cards and educate business owners about your services.  Product tradeshows are a great venue for you.  All of these businesses will need a lawyer from time to time.  If you stop by each booth, you are providing them with a solution to their legal needs.  You never know when they will remember you in the future.

Most importantly, keep it light at a tradeshow.  You don’t want to get into all of the boring details about the job functions of a defense attorney.  Instead, give them enough information so they will call back for more.  Good luck.
